A John Wick and Nobody Crossover Will Happen?

 

The similarity between the 2021 film Nobody and John Wick, which was first introduced in 2014, is that they were both written by Derek Kolstad. Since the release of the first trailer for Nobody, many fans have immediately compared it to the first John Wick film because of its plot about an ex-assassin who is forced to return to a brutal world after years of trying to leave him. And after the release of the film, not only the plot, even the atmosphere in the story is almost similar to that described in the John Wick film. While the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the schedule for many of the John Wick franchise projects, John Wick 4 is currently filming, and even a fifth film is in development. There's also a John Wick spinoff series in the works, which focuses around the Continental, the hotel of assassins and the mythical center of the John Wick universe. The franchise got even stronger after John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum made $326 million worldwide, on a film budget of $75 million.

Recently Nobody director Ilya Naishuller told IndieWire that a John Wick and Nobody crossover could happen. “I love it when people ask if [John Wick and Nobody] are in the same universe? Well, I can't say anything," said Naishuller. “But what you can do is look at which studios made which films and then think about the reality of doing crossovers. That's all I can say. I mean, everything

Usually a crossover show can occur if both shows are at almost the same level of popularity. While Derek Kolstad is no longer involved with the John Wick franchise, he has previously hinted at what kind of crossover he wants. Kolstad imagines it as a simple incident, where John (Kean Reeves) and Hutch (Bob Odenkirik) get to know each other when they pass each other. Rather than a full scene, it's probably best for everyone.
